I tried to build it object oriented, but I didn't have time to finish, so it's probably about 60% done. Let me know if you have questions. It would be great to have it work.

Hi, thanks for the start. I've changed the code to use Irrlicht structures, and condensed it into one file. Moreover, I've fixed the index usage and some other stuff. It displays my test meshes, which are quite huge already.
This loader is now part of irrExt, and will hopefully be extened to materials and such things. Once we have a scene loader interface this seems like a very good intermediate format for artists.

If I remember correctly, I only put in the files that I edited. There are a lot of files that aren't there. Also, that code doesn't work so well. I think that hybrid updated my code for fbx in irrext. You might be better off taking a look there.

Errr... I'm sure i saw this one elsewere already. If youre looking for FBx file support checkout IrrExt someone put it there sometime. Maybe it was u though, since im posting on an old post.
