From that album i like Sorrow the most :)
Also, No More Turning Away is great, they both have great guitar solos. Learning to Fly has a great solo at the end, but it's like 15 seconds long :(

On The Turning Away* :) Great song.

If we talking about solos, Comfortably Numb :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkJNyQfAprY

Btw, I've got very nice memories with this song.
In summer 2010, I went with friend to one other friend that live 15km from the city, far from any civilization, 100m to big forest.
We went to him for acid trip, that was cold night, with little of rain.
Next day morning I woke up, ate dinner and prepared to go home.
This morning was great. I am on acid, no more rain, just only sun, beautiful sky with big cumulus clouds (almost same like here: http://www.1lo.suwalki.pl/chmury/cumulus3.jpg).
My friend was driving, I was sitting on front seat and watching this beautiful sky... and my friend turned cd-player on and played Comfortably Numb.
This was one of my the best experience with music ever :)
Just sitting comfortably in seat, great sky, great music... beautiful

I like a huge variety of music, no particular artist. As to piano music, I like old school jazz and blues the most even though it can be really tough to play.

There's a special place in my heart for punk though. Most modern punk is junk meaning I have to listen to older stuff but meh.

Nice!
I very like The Clovers, check this song, awesome music!

I am so sad that today nobody is playing like The Clovers and others played :(

Yea, great song, Clovers are pretty good. My favorite is improvise intrumental jazz. I can't find any online, I usually hear it on the radio every once in a while. It's curious how similar the piano jams then are to the electric guitar jams of today.

Yes, improvise instrumental jazz is really nice.
I was one time in nice club in Warsaw, where played band that plays that music.
It's really impressive how they play totally improvising and playing so good.

Not improvising jazz, but have one nice video of Ink Spots:

Check how they are stepping, really amazing!
Aww, why I was born in 1992 in Poland, not in ~1925 in USA :)

Btw, today my mother was baking pie and I found some ornamentation for that pie:

My first thought when saw those leafs:
"nice normal mapping"
and then "wft" :D

I think I am spending too much time with 3D graphics and Irrlicht :)

'92? Interesting, i thought you were older.

Btw, be sure to check out Roger Waters' solo album, Amused to Death(1991), some songs are really good. I especially like What God Wants(all parts), The Bravery of Being Out of Range, Watching TV and the title track, Amused to Death.

Regarding the fact that you want to be born in a different year that you were, i sometimes like to think that when you die, you will be allowed to pick a year you want to be born and be born again :D Kind of an unlockable you get after you finish campaign

About Comfortably Numb, have you seen the the video clip of it from The Wall movie? I just love how at some moments during the guitar solo, the camera is turning around it's Z axis. I think that was one of the best moments in the whole movie.

EDIT: here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQWszrZHBPI The first one of these moments is at 4:30, just so you know what i mean.

Not only you :)
Many people thinks I am older, always asking me "what are you studying", while I am still in high school (in 1st class :D).
I think it's because I am more emotionally mature than others.
People in my age (18) are on parties all the time, not thinking about future and are not to intelligent.
I can't talk with them about topics like life, psychology, and other more 'serious' topics.
Instead I have very good relations with older people, we have many common topics to talk about and interests.
Good example: I can talk with you Ent1ty and LazerBlade about old music like Pink Floyd or The Clovers, but with people I can't.
They mostly not like music like this, not know, or even laugh that I am listening to songs like this :( I am wondering future of this generation.
So, I am hanging only with older than me people.
Most of my friends are in age 25-40 :D
ent1ty wrote:Btw, be sure to check out Roger Waters' solo album, Amused to Death(1991)
Thanks, I didn't hear this yet. I'll check that album tonight, for now have some work needed be done for yesterday.

ent1ty wrote: About Comfortably Numb, have you seen the the video clip of it from The Wall movie?
Yes, I saw this movie several times, first time when I was about 7-8 years old, on VHS tape.
I always liked part when kid put bullet on rails and scene with train, also those walking hammers.
Really great music movie.

I like to think that I moved from future, when I was 80 years old to current time, when I am 18.
In future, when I was 80, I said to myself "it's sad that I can't move in time when I was 18 and repair all of my bad decisions in life..." and suddenly, magically I moved to my 18 birthday party
I am trying to live best I can now, because I do not want to thinking in future about moving in time when I was 18 :D
So... I am coding and learning all the time :)
Many people in my age said me that I am stupid, that I should drink, have girls, going parties because still I am young, but... I choosed different way.
I want to be old hacker, and instead telling stories to my grandchildrens about great parties, I want to telling about those great project I wrote when I was 18 :D

And btw, backing to Pink Floyd topic:
Image

I bought this vinyl about year ago on street market...
for about 3$ (10 PLN) :D

The dancing is almost better than the music. It was so good, some modern dance styles like shuffling evolved from it.

[sarcasm]

I was born on a secret year none of you know about that you would have to scour the internet to uncover.

I am happy that whole Internet exist! IMs, mailinglists, IRC, forums...
Met lot of great people through that media :)

I think to buy some more vinyls, not only Pink Floyd album, but some time ago needle in my gramophone got broken :(
It's very old gramophone, about 20-30 years old, I can't find anywhere needle that will suite to that hardware.
I think about buying new player, but... my old gramophone have a soul :)
My friend have some old, not working gramophones, maybe he will find not-broken needle in those hardware (I hope).

edit:
lol, I was copying files for backup (moving to new system, GNU/Linux again!) and I found fun IRC log... with you Ent1ty in main role

Nice, I often hear this song in local radio :)
I very like old rock bands, like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, all songs are awesome.

Check this song:
