You'll need to use the Win32-gcc DLL,
irrlicht-1.3\bin\Win32-gcc\Irrlicht.dll

Particle Editor debug build 0.2.162: Grab it here
Hopefully this build fixes the problem with the GUI freezing.
I didn't include the media files in this release, grab 0.2.161 package first.

@koller202, glad you got it working, please don't hesitate posting thoughts on what you think about it and what you'd like to see featured in later versions.

New Particle Editor Based on Deesine's

Post by drac_gd »

Deesine,
I made a Windows/MFC Particle Editor based on IrrSpintz and your particle editor.
The announcement is here ( Because base on IrrSpintz )

http://irrlicht.spintz.com/smforums/ind ... opic=283.0

Thanks for the code and textures.. If you would like your credits in
the about box changed I would be happy to do so.

drac_gd: Looks great, and I'm glad someone took the next step and created a particle editor with a more user friendly GUI; and also that you found some use of my editor :)

Thanks again Deesine
My next project is about 1/2 done.. a game editor. what are you up too?
I noticed in other posts that you sometimes do 3d work. Could I plead with you to do a couple of small Items? I am working on a attachment system to attach armour etc to characters. In the Particle Editor under models/avatars/hfa is a female model. Could you do a breast plate amour and boots? they dont need to be animated or even in the right positon or anything fancy. Just something I can test with. The attachment system will rotate/position them and attach them to the correct points so they are just static meshes.
