I released v1.4.1 of my game.

I've added two more maps that are actually the city (Morano Heights) splitted in two. It's not ready though.

I've also added a better interface (but it's not working for now), and I've updated the main menu a little bit.
I've also made the sky and clouds more realistic, and some other stuff.

Now I'm working at implementing cars in the game (dawasw :P), and I'm also writing some missions, which will be available in v1.5.

Happy downloading !

Nice. I'm impressed by the amount of city area you've created. A couple comments.

1) I'd suggest using different data file for different levels rather than using multiple executables

2) If you want the gun to have a kick (tho a small pistol doesn't need much of one) I'd suggest having it jerk you back a little bit, rather than up.

Thanks for the tips Electron.

Anyway, I made some progress with cars in my game and I thought to show some progress:

Image

The cars are ridable, and they make the game more fun! :D
Each car has it's own handling, and I'm very pleased the way this worked out.

Soon I'll release the 1.5 version (maybe in a week or so).

PS: I've used someone else's code for vehicle integration with Newton, and I will give that person (I can't find his name for know) all the credits. I just made the integration with my game and added some additional features (like different camera views, fixed some errors etc.).

Cheers.

klikmaster,
well, I have to tidy-up the code a little bit, and make the maps look nicer, so I'm guessing you folks have to wait a couple of days.
lostclimategames,
thank you for the interest in my game.

Supremacy Errands v.1.4.9 has been released .
This features just the city, and not the training areas !!!

Download here.

What's new ?

You can take a walk in the Morano Heights city (not finnished though!) or
drive with one of the three cars ( a 4x4, an Impreza or a Porche ).

More functions will be implemented in the future.

Known bugs :

- sometimes, when exiting the car (F) the player spawns at a random position.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
2. Controls

IN CAR:
---------

F1 - Respawn 4x4
F2 - Respawn Impreza
F3 - Respawn Porche

R - Respawn car

W - Drive forward
A - Turn left
S - Drive backwards/Brake
D - Turn right
Space - Brake
TAB - Horn

PLAYER :

Left Arrow - Strafe left
Down Arrow - Walk backwards
Right Arrow - Strafe right

LMB - Shoot a bomb (just for fun)
E - Explode the launched bomb.

As always, waiting for opinions, suggestions etc.

PS: Someone voted that my game is Horrible. It would have been great if that person would have said why, so I can improve that aspect.

Cheers.

YESSS! Finally, thank you :D Downloading it now.. :)

OK, I've played it, and it's not bad.

I have some crits, but I'm not sure if it's because it's an early demo. but I'll put them anyway..
  • The cars seem to drive pretty slow (You can run faster than a car)
You can control your car when you're not in it!
The bombs are only fired from the car camera (if you get out of the car the bombs come out of the air)
Getting out of the car you sometimes get put somewhere in the sky, and fall :p
The sound is pretty terrible, it sounds like the car is revving up then down constantly.
But I know what you've done has taken a lot of work, and it works well.
There are a lot of textures, it takes a long while to load!!
I get about 40FPS, so speedwise it's pretty good. Nice one :)

Yes, I'm perfectly aware of those things, and to be onest I didn't even tried to fix them. I just wanted to have cars in my game.
I'll fix them in v.1.5 .

Thanks for your review, and for your interest in my little game.

Cheers !

Are you planning on having a 3rd person camera for your character, like you have with your cars, or will you stick with a FPS out of car?

by andrei25ni
For know I'll stick with FPS camera.

But in the future (in the very far future) I intend to have a camera similar to the Gothic 2 camera, where you can switch FPS\3rd person camera, have zoom options on character, etc.

But I'll do that after I'll add some AI to my game, and that will take a while, because I learn these things as I go.

Btw, my game has now 9 months since I originally starting working on it (planning included), so I guess I have a little baby ?!

Cheers !
