Anyone in the market for a badass laptop?

Check it out.

Its about 9 months old. Used mainly for programming and school work while away from home (ie. not very often)

Figured I'd offer it up to people I "know" before throwing it on ebay.
I'm selling it because my company CEO is purchasing a laptop for me so I no longer need this one.

How much would you expect for it? I hate giving a price first :P

Well I'm really not picky.

Looks like on ebay similar models are hitting between 850-950, but any offer would be considered

why outdated? as long as you do not play on high quality settings, even a 3 year old computer should be fast enough for today :) and on linux its even faster!!

ps: reminds me of getting a new ram, i know use 512mb ram with 266mhz fsb, but i could really use a 1024mb ram with 400-500mhz fsb ram, that would bring a really nice speed boost, and a new hdd would be cool too, since mine has only 5200 rotations per minute, which is really slow (you can really feel a difference between 5200 and 7200) - that would really BOOST my gentoo up a lot (if i imagine the speed improvement it would get, i get tears in my eyes :) )

too bad i need 200€ for that (which i dont have) - life sucks lol

actually its "revolutions per minute"

hehehe, my turn!

And to be honest, you're righ GFX, I feel ok with my laptop, it runs almost everything I throw at it except things with per pixel and bump mapping; it runs 3dsmax pretty well; my favorite games run fine since they're not-so-new (quake 3, unreal, na pali, classic UT), it's great for level design and for Irrlicht! And it's a great machine for testing-comparing purposes and also for showing my work to potential customers. Funny thing is that I don't promote ATI very much and this one comes with an ATI chip! hehehehe

and I might also consider a HD and ram upgrade. Perhaps I can get a firewire HD, and upgrade my 512 to 1024.

merry xmas!!!! :D

ps. But deep inside our guts we would all like dracflamloc's horse in our hands!
