OCX Version of IRRLICHT

Post by asosa »

Have been developing in Irrlicht for about a week or so and have managed to pull some of the functions and make a VB OCX encompassing some of the engines features. Well enough to get the HELLOWORLD tutorial to work. :) Would anyone be interested in working with me on completing it. My goal is to make the OCX with the same features of the engine so content can be created in any language using COM. Visual Basic, VBscript, JavaScript, can be integrated in Webpages like WildTangent.

I have been programming in C++ and VB for about 11 years.

Oh - to the Irrlicht team - great work on the engine. Have been dabbling in Game Engines for the last year or so - tried GameStudio, Dark Basic, Revolution 3d, TrueVision 3D, Blitz basic. NeoEngine, Crystal Space, Exhihilo, Jet3d, Power Render, Reality Factory and WildTangent - your engine is great. Has all the features I wanted, seems stable for the last week or so I have been developing with it and The OpenGL and Direct X display drivers work great on my ATI 9000.

Unfortunately, I have a lot of projects going on right now, myself.

But I'd be happy to help with any debugging/suggestions sort of thing.

Personally, I know JavaScript and PHP, and used to know Python.
