Coralis Visual Creator C++

Post by Cristian »

I've decided to create an Irrlicht exclusive tool, a C++ IDE made with running Irrlicht right after the setup in mind. No more, no less.
It will also include most (if not all) of the Irrlicht extensions and integrations, as well as some of my own, wizards for different types of games (for now only FPS, TPS action/RPG, FF RPG).
Maybe you'll ask "why your IDE, just because you've integrated Irrlicht out-of-the-box and added some extensions?" No. I'm also aiming at adding code completion that contains ALL of Irrlicht's classes/properties.
And yes it will be free.

AND DON'T ASK WHATR ABOUT YOUR OTHER PROJECTS (why did you think I made this ide in the first place?) :):):) I'm still working on them and I'll make a release ASAP

minGW of course (because it's free to include inside).
But you'll be able to use MS compiler 2003/2005 as well.

I'm really sorry you think that way :(. I know it does not look original enough but even so, it's damn hard keeping an IDE project together.

I just hope I can do my best.

i think its nice that you do this - but i dont understand why, sorry :) there are lots of free IDE´s available with more manpower than just you, so it would be better if you join the codeblocks team for example and help them with the IDE instead of doing another one.

but everyone is free to do what he wants so good luck with your IDE!!! :D

byebye!

@GFXstyLER" never thought of that... why not just modify an existing Open Source IDE and release a special IRRLICHT version? :)

why release a special irrlicht version? all irrlicht needs is properly setup linker and include paths, thats less than one minute of work, and therefore you need a whole irrlicht-version IDE :)? nono, that can not be the right way.

and autocomplete should be possible with codeblocks or visual studio or devc++ too.

It's a nice idea Christian, but I think gfxstlyer is right. How many IDE's would there be if someone made a new one for every engine?
You do a lot of programming? Really? I try to get some in, but the debugging keeps me pretty busy.
