Does Quark require full version of quake?

Does Quark require full version of quake? Coud it use with download version of quake?

to my little knowledge, not it doesn't. Maybe yep if want to use the quake3 compiler, but surely youc an just configure any flavour of bsp compiler inside quark, or use another compiler, like ZHLT Tools compiler for half Life, which was free for comercial projects.

q3map2.exe (Quake3 bsp compiler) comes with GtKRadiant

You can download and use that with Quark.

you can trick quark to compile q3 bsps without the nedd of Quake 3 installed. There's a brief tut here on that:

Yes, there was a little trick !!!
I didn't read the link from Afecelis, but I think it was something like make an empty text file and rename it to "Quake.exe"...
