Hi!
I know c++ but the basics only.
I heard about irrlicht, dowloaded the package, I readed the first tutorial and tried it. Looks quite easy.
I want to create a 2D game (allready started 2D) so I looked in tutorial 6 and modified it bit.

If I try to adjust the image's alpha channel to 150, it should be transparent then? When I tried it in my workplace, it worked but not in my home? Why? I have much faster computer in home. In fact, the workplace computer is from stone age. Using OpenGL.

And why I can not use DirectX. Using dev-c++.

How about details? "doesn't work" and "can not use" are no sufficient error descriptions. Adn code snippets are helpful too.
