What do you use to model?

Post by luckymutt »

Just curious what the distribution of modelling programs is across the Irrlicht community
I have tried several out when I was starting with graphics, but eventually went with 3dsMax

So what do you use?

I use Lightwave for modeling, export that to Blender for other functions.

i can model with most tools out there.

But usually :

modelling: -wings3d , max, metasequoia. It depends more on how I feel the day than other thing... Sometimes Hamapatch...

animation: xsi, blender, max. Whatever...

texturing, like with max, Adobe at work. But sometimes Gimp, deep paint3d, etc...
uvmapping, ultimateunwrap, max, wings autouv, sometimes blender.

Have used loads more.
Finally making games again!

Milkshape and / or DeleD

@sdi2000: that sounds cool, I'd be interested in hearing more details about your exporter.
