Irrlicht Engine

Hallo

1. As a beginner I want to import an obj-format scene, but it doesn't work

I took the Hallo World tutorial from http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/tut001.html and replaced the sydney.md2 with my own obj-file without success.

How can I import obj-files?




2. In a mtl-file I've got the object properities.
How can I import this?

irrlicht doesnt like blender's obj's, so if you are having problems loading the obj, try loading then saving it in any 3d package other than blender (like wings3d for example).
afaik mtl files are not imported. to do this you'd need to change the obj loader.
