Terrain Heightmap

Well my question is:
While enlarging the distance between the terrain and the camera, the terrain looses quality because some triangles are merged.
How can i control the distance in which this is happening or even disable it?

Read up on the LOD part of the terrain node.
The irr-docs should be sufficiantly explaning.

Thank you alot. didn't mentioned that not every part of the .Net doc is empty ^^
