Quake 3 level editing

I am trying to build my own extremely simple quake 3 levels, but I am having trouble getting hold of a level editor. The only one I can find any reference to is Qradiant, but the website is most confusing, and does not appear to help those of us who are just starting out in these matters. I don;'t even know which version of it I need. Any help appreciated.

Get the first item here:
http://www.qeradiant.com/?data=files&files_dir=23 (1.4.0 setup for Q3, RTCW and ET).

OR

The last one here:
http://www.qeradiant.com/?data=files&files_dir=7 (build 202, full setup).

Level editing is a time consuming obsession. It takes time and patience, and if you've got those two, you'll be whipping out maps in no time. ;)

some people use Quark *Quake Army Knife) for editing the maps. I think I'll try that

I think for more experience level desingers GtkRadiant is better choose. For beginers better is Quark. This is my opinion. :)

gtkradiant is not allowed for comercial projects. Quark is.
