Hide console ;)

Post by Toxic »

Hi there,

I'm new to irrlicht engine and i heard, that it's possible to hide the black cmd console at the beginning...

Can somebody post a code snippet or a tutorial how to hide this window.

I know, that it is described in the irrlicht basic tutorials but i didn't get it...

1. click on the "search" link above.
2. In the field type in "hide AND console" (no quotes)
3. Read from the results

you'll find your answer there.

ps. Don't give them a fish, teach them to fish.

Edited: oh yes! Bobos' option is also useful, and he's also right; it's been answered a zillion times!

This is alection on your compiler, not Irrlicht. So either search in the Irrlicht threads for a solution, or in your compiler's manual/support forums.
Damn, this answer was probably longer than the short and direct answer, but I'm really addicted to this 'learning by doing' concept

Seems that I'm rather slow with typing, so many answers before mine was sent. Anyway, good that many others also show this teacher's attitude

I did a search for "hide AND console," and this was the first result not attached to my thread. So in an effort to prevent the search results page from becoming cluttered with threads saying "USE THE EFFING SEARCH FUNCTION," I've decided to append the link to the actual information to this thread, my thread, and any other noob threads I might find that currently DON'T answer the question but DO attract search result hits. :P
