Ok, you can download the game from here .

Things you should know :

1. Don't expect anything great. There is a lot more to do to this game. :D

2. Wait about 4 seconds when running the game for the intro movie to load. It will loop. Press Enter to go to the main menu. Wait about ~15 seconds for the map to load.

3. Please read the HELP file (/help/help.chm) and the bug file (/extra/bugs.txt) as they contain all the needed informations.

Oh, yeah, and I forgot to say :


- the file has 10,8 Mb (rar);

- the game is for Win32 only ;

- ignore the first mission. There's no Harry's Bar yet :) .

Well the world is superb!

Too bad I was forced to walk only, because there is no interaction with anything yet :( and that hurts a lot.

But it is really low poly world with nice texturing, if you add cars in there and some pedestrians even with some basic state AI it would really become alive.

Hope to see some updates soon :D

PS on 1.8 ghz Duron + 768 ram + fx 5200 128 mb works excellent, I didnt notice any fps drop anywhere.

Well dawasw, updates are comming very soon, so check this topic in a few days :D . I just needed somewhere to start the game, now I'll just add features.

I really want to make the physics integration (perhaps with Newton) as soon as possible, I'm researching...

Ok. I've implemented Newton for player collision with the map, and I noticed that the level loads faster ( with about 50% faster) if you use this method. I'll post the download link soon. :wink:

Ok.

My game has reached version 1.1 .
Please see my site for a full description and a download link. I would realy like your guys opinions, and more info on the performance. I want to make this game available for other computers than those-gaming-monster-machines around there :lol:

PS: exit the game with ALT + F4 (sorry, I messed out something :oops: );
wait ~15 sec. for game to load.

Hehe, great demo :)

There are already a lot of different buildings which look nice and also the road and signs/trees look nice. I'm looking forward to the official final release! :D

Now I'm working in implementing a vehicle in the game. The physics are done, I now just have to figure it out how to make collision with the map.

I managed to implement a gun (is a Beretta) in the game, which shoots, makes debrie when it impactes, has a recul, and has a cool laser point.

I made a short trailer that shows a preview to v1.2 .
Before releasing the next version I want to make a scooter to drive around the town faster, and a short mission.

But no posts here, no opinions, nothing...
I guess you are too lazy for a comment :P ...
... so I made a poll.


In a few days I'll release the next version.

Nice work,
I am sure that when you add some interaction /AI / you will get more comments.
BTW seems you forgot to include OpenAL32.dll /80K/ in zip distribution
If newton needs many time for creating of collision for any level, suggest that newton support serilization. This can increase speed of loading.
