Hi,
Using the terrain demo terrain-heightmap image which is a 256x256 BMP file everything is fine but when I try to use any other size it doesn't work, i.e if I simply resize the image to 512 by 512 or use the earthbump.bmp image which is 512x256 I get a really screwy looking strip with separate layers.
I am using version 1.0 of Irrlicht on an Intel Mac and all the demos work fine but I really want to use it with bigger terrain files (i.e I really want to generate them using terragen @ 1024x1024 and import them) or possibly find a way to stitch together many small ones.
Can anyone help me?
Cheers,
Chris

Well that explains a lot.hybrid wrote:Only terrain size of 129x129 works correctly in all aspects. This is due to Irrlicht's index buffer and the terrain implementation. This is a known limitation and is currently being worked on.
Can anyone explain how to stitch together small terrains to make one large one?
A simple to follow code example would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Chris
