Terminal Saga: Episode II - Scythe of the Phoenix

Post by Anteater »

In this sequel to Terminal Saga I (duh  ), gameplay is based on early SNES/NES games like FF or Zelda. You'll control Lex (the person Locke rescues in the original) as she fights for the freedom of her country. Here're some screens:

At the moment it's not much more than a tech demo, but I'll have a decent demo by the end of the year (maybe).

Gameplay will be played by moving a character from a top-down perspective (think Army Men), with combat in real time. Stats will improve as you do various things; strength will improve as you attack, running speed will improve as you run, defence will improve as you take hits. Gameplay will be somewhat non-linear. The storyline is one of the most important aspects of it, I've been working on it for quite a while now.

I just uploaded a very lousy/buggy demo. Have fun! :P

To attack, you need to alternate between Z/X or B/V. To heal yourself, N. To move, use the keypad. So far the game is a screwed up mess, I know.
