Lots of legally free music and movies for your projects.

Post by noreg »

Admittedly i was'nt sure where to post this. It's a server with a lot of music, movies, ebooks, audio books and whatever. All the stuff is collected under Opensource or Creative Common License. That allows you to use it for your projects. I was especially impressed by the quality and the amount of free music. Should be enough for everyone, here you go:

I did not find any "tainted" content, have fun

archive.org's open source audio collection contains a lot of good free music, finding the diamonds in the rough takes a long time though. here's two (from the same artist) I found a while back-

and a shameless plug for my friend's rock band-

"lost at sea" is my fave track

Thanks for your contribution and correction (legal to legally in the title) bitplane (not kidding, seriously)).Having content of different taste and quality is present everywhere, wether you have to pay for it or not. I found it quite refreshing to see some of the more individualistic approaches. Its mind refreshing and if you really catch something weak, consider it as an example which tells you to make it better. Never forget the people released all that for free :D

wow i found this site like last week but it seemed like there was only music that no one in their right mind would ever pay for (hence the free download), but bitplane omg dude, trance blackman rox! thank you for sharing the links :D

i'm very seriously thinking about using archive.org for all my music now :) ... specially trance blackman's stuff

You can find a lot of free music (under Creative Common license) on the Jamendo website too.

Creative Common license is not free for commercial use, I think. If you like the music you can contact the artist and buy his music.

There are different CC licenses in use there. Some allow commercial use, some don't.
