lol, yeah I fixed that now, its only because it’s a person you can see the scale/gravity is wrong, with just the boxes and stuff you cannot really tell.

I’ve added sound to the game, I’m using Fmod, I had some problems with audiere, it seems to lack some features needed for games, and I cannot seem to work around it.

I added some basic AI, it’s basically aiming and shooting right now, I’ll try and do A* pathfinding next and add some states.

The effects need some work, but I was having trouble making nodes fade out with the material type I need. lol at my lines for bullets

I’ve made the game run faster, both with small changes to the engine and my game.

Look past my poorly made map :p

Edit:

Yeah, I’ll try and release a playable release soon, but the soldier mesh is bought and the artist wants people to protect the media, so I’ll have to add something.

BlindSide, lol, maybe if I’m lucky

And the demo is nothing to be excited about, not that much fun yet…

Here’s a tech demo of my game,

The map was kindly sent to me by Joshua Pulham ‘JPulham’

http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/8/10/ ... Jan%29.zip

-right click to drag objects around

-The barrels explode when you shoot them now, only newly added.

It’s not to good yet I really need to complete networking, add AI pathfinding, other guns, a crosshair…

Let me know what you think, and the fps you got.

Only glad I could help :D
It was kind of an old level I had kicking around that I wasn't really using anymore.
Can't wait to get home and test this thing :P

Finially! Great stuff!

DirectX (no shadows) - 60-70 FPS
DirectX (shadows) - 10-15 FPS
OpenGL (no shadowS) - 65-70 FPS
OpenGL (shadows) - 15-25 FPS

Climbing the stairs was a bit of a task for me. Had to keep it faced to the top of the stairs when moving up one by one. Also the gun goes through the map when near walls. Loving those ragdolls though .... wheeeeeee! Best part is putting the bodies on the barrels and blowing them up. Pretty funny how you can even drag your enemies while they are still alive...

Who is that speaking at the beginning?

Thanks,

Yes, I need to do ray picks and make the character move up small steps.

I normally turn gravity off to get up. :P

By the way, looking up will not change the speed you move up the stairs.
Also the gun goes through the map when near walls.
I think I’ll do a ‘holding the gun in’ animation to fix that, instead of changing the z-order.

Lol, yeah, the dragging bit is not really part of the game by the way (yet?)

Who is that speaking at the beginning?
Lol, I was talking but was putting a voice on, and changed it a bit in a sound editor, because I hate hearing my own voice

What do you say? I cannot fully understand it, it plays too fast.
