problem with model coordinates

Post by rogerdv »

Im trying to place a block loaded from a 3ds file in a certain coordinate. But i found two problems: first I had to rotate the block, because the vertical axis in 3d max and milkshape in my app is the horizontal axis. The second is that I dont know how to make match the origin with the coordinate, so the blocks are rendered out of the place and makes a mess in my scene. Can somebody suggest my something?

The best bet would be to rotate your models that you are using and save them with the model editor. That way, you don't have to worry about offsetting or rotating the model at load time. (Which saves some CPU cycles)
Crud, how do I do this again?
