Hi Tarzan,
Finally had a chance to check out the 5/2 version. I did'nt see any new file/zip on the site for 5/17. Was it uploaded?
Anyway, nice work! Any tips on landing? I keep crashing.
[Edit]. Sorry, I just found build 338 here and will try it out:

Thx.

[Lymantok]: Try to press F7, the vessel will land in automatic mode, if you want to land manually, just verify that your speed is less than 500m/s and your vessel will land, i verify this today, the next update (exe) will be this week-end, i've fixed some crash.

When manual landing, your speed must be lower or equal to 100m/s
F7 (automatic landing) will crash the vessel

I have tried the demo and really like the feel of scale that is achieved.
However, I somewhat doubt the applicability of such a feature. I mean having "realistically" sized planets is good and well, but if You land on a planet You want to see more than a brown plane as far as the eye can see. What I' m saying is You not only need planets, You need features on the planets as well. That means You'll need buttloads of information if You are to save detailed features on each planet.
Are planning to do something in that direction? If you do, I'm really interested in how You are going to achieve that.
Again, I'm not trying to dis You, but to understand where You are going with this and how You're going to do it.

I realize this thread is almost a year old, but I was wondering if anyone still is working on this project. Was the source ever made available? I am interested in studying it to see how to render planets within irrlicht. I downloaded the zip in sourceforge and it appears to be only libraries and resources.

@arosboro: Yes the source was posted by Tarzan02. I posted the link I found previously. Here it is again:

There is a tarball you can download at the bottom of that page.
