great day for me, i know how to create a package in sourceforge, so tonight i will produce one (a basic to show the engine in progress). i must decide a way to continue the devel: player act as a space force pilot (with more and more experience giving more powerful space ship to command) or base on commerce and mercenary with mission in each space station. I think taht the second way will be more rapidly because with the space force carreer, i want to generate a complete dynamic campaign based on the ressource of each side (URLAN and CONFED) but i need time for this.

i was waiting for this... unfortunately it crashes on my computer :(
The last thing I can read in the console before crashing is loading textures:

planets/telluric/Dirt.png

maybe, no I checked the texture is there, next in alphabetical order would be earth.png

Give it another try please, maybe test it on different computer before...

its a macbook 2ghz (running windows), nvidia 8600 512mb, 2gb ram...

i haven't macbook to test, i will generate a new exe with more trace in the errorlog.txt file, and with the loading of bmp rather than png. When it will be ready you'll have to download only the exe and test ok ?

No, in fact I'm a fan of you and I really want to see you finish your project, or at least reaching satisfaction with your work, even thought about getting involved and like I said before imo people like you should be sponsored...

The exe does not work for me either. Contents of error.txt:

The last few entries in the dos window are:

My platform is Win XP 32 bit, Intel core2 duo, 2.19 GHz, 2 GB RAM, NVIDIA Quadro FX 570M.

for all the problem can you send me the content of the base directory (where the exe is located) with the size of the dll (all the cegui components and irrlicht) in a text file

OK, i've generate a verbose version of the application, it will be upload tonight and you can upload it to test. The file errorlog.txt will contain the trace of the application

i debugged with tarzan02 tonight, the problem seemed to be a to long filename, or direcory name in my case (buffer was to small), moving the game from Desktop to c:\ fixed it... also there is one point the console waits for input, so if it hangs click the console and press any key... It should work after that...

Hi sorry, no dice.

The dos window hangs after "Nb fighter:1", and pressing keys has no effect. The debugger window also opens stating:

An unhandled win32 exception occured in irrlicht.exe [2132].

I can try moving it to d:, but my path is only d:\personal\ so I'd be surprised if that works.
