Whitedust.net is pleased to announce the release of Eve, a software suite designed to model real-time network traffic in a 3D format. Designed to produce stunning real-time visualizations of traffic flow, Eve provides an in-sight into networks never before possible.
Eve was built on the Irrlicht engine, with much help from the legacy posters on the forums. I thank you all for your help and invite you have a play with Eve yourself. [/url]
Screenshots and video are available at http://www.whitedust.net/eve/media.php...
Do you know what's happening on your network? Eve Does.

Looks really interesting. Maybe you could add/create some kind of screensaver with a camera moving like in the right video.
However that kind of visualisation would be a nice addition to firewalls. See those discarded packets get blown up.
PS: I wouldn't call the free version "crippled". Sounds to me like it's a version with intentional bugs and so on (I don't believe that's really the case but that description...). Why don't you call it "light" edition or so?

Thanks
Thanks guys for the kind words.
There is a 'demo mode' which moves the camera fly through the environment on an endless loop. Its like a screensaver mode I suppose. You can access it by hitting the 'D' key. Of course if you want to just move around the environment yourself using your mouse and arrow keys, you can.
We certainly plain to improve and grow the app, including visualizations of dropped packets, faulty network nodes, etc.
