Irrlicht Quake3 BSP rendering...

Does Irrlicht support the PVS-data stored in Quake3-Bsps? I've seen, that it uses an Octtree, but wouldn't a PVS-lookup be faster in most (if not all) cases?

I'm not sure whether it uses PVS or not.

But it is my understanding that you do the octree culling then if you want further speed gains you can do addtional PVS culls, not instead of octree cull but in addition to
