You mean writing a book to explain how to use Irrlicht?

That's a bit pointless isn't it and i wouldn't of thought it was very economically viable. Irrlicht gets updated every few months and so a new book would have to come out with all the new updates explained.

It's much better to just have a website with tutorials and a forum to ask questions ;)

Hahaha, Irrlicht DOESNT NEED A BOOK! Thats why OGRE has one and Irrlicht doesnt...

Hell even I might need a book to use OGRE...

Not exactly. I don't need a book. Nor do the other 95% of people who use Ogre. I've read reviews on the book, and the whole thing was theory. Very little code was given, and most of the code that WAS given was code from the examples and tutorials that are found on the interweb.

If you think you need a book for Ogre, BlindSide (BTW, nice screenies on gamedev), you need to RTFM, RTFD, and RTFT.

I was kidding offcourse, I don't need a book for anything...

(Except entertainment and self-motivation.... oh yeah and uni..)

PS: On a side-note, not patronizing or anything, more like a passing amusement... Are you on some form of holy crusade or something?

Where you go to all extremes to prove your beliefs. This usually includes killing, conversion, and torture; sometimes the last two are combined.

I think both Irrlicht and Ogre don't need a BOOK. Even if it's me, who is bad in 3D can still learn them with thier existing tutorials(but of course Irrlicht is easier and I chose it). When you understand basic of engines you can find extended tutorials in thier forum. :D

But if there is one it looks good :D

Sory for my bad english

There isn't a need for a Irrlict book, the tutorials are good enough.

Irrlicht would be an optimal engine which could be used in a book about game programming. In that case it wouldn't even matter much that new version are done so fast. The author could just add a CD with a current version to the book.
