I think, that is with shadows uses related. When I enable shadows my frame rate is falling down from 50 fps to 6 fps.

Maybe this will be improved in next irrlich version.

Hah, my machine is a P3-450, GeForce2, 384mb Ram, and the Special effects demo looks fine - same as the other examples (about 50 FPS).

You're using both the 'evil' technologies (AMD, and ATI, as opposed to Intel and nVidia) - maybe that's why :)

(Just kidding :) )

P3 800, and ATI rage 128 pro.
Only with shadows I get 1/10 framerate.

It may be a driver issue with the rage128.

That wouldn't be surprising, ATI don't even support the card ( or any cards IIRC ) anymore. Get a GeForce, they aren't that expensive!

Pentium4 1.8GHZ, Geforce4GO, 256MB DDR; Celeron 1.7GHZ, Geforce3Ti200, 382MB SDRAM

On both PCs the shadows kick in seriously - I've posted this in the bug report forum too tho.:) Just thought I'd give it here as well.
