Hi,
I am basic C++ and advanced VB but out of the loop for a while. I am looking to create a business environment where people can create characters and interact together in a created world online. Is this the engine for me or where should I look for this capability to get up and running without 5 more years of school, trial and error. I don't want to re-create the wheel. I need to find some open source that I can work with. Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Kobee

Irrlicht is only a graphics engine, all it does is render, do collision, and some other stuff for you. If you are going to make it online, it is going to take a lot of work from you. It is very very possible to do what you have in mind, but it would take advanced C++ and a lot of spare time, suffering, and coffee.

Irrlicht is the way to go.
