True Axis Physics integration example

Post by jimbo »

Hi,

I've made a little demo to show True Axis and the Irrlicht 3D engine (http://www.trueaxis.com) in action

Image

This demo creates over 200 physics objects. You can shoot (very heavy) cubes in the stack. You can see how True Axis' swept collision detection works very well for fast moving objects.

It needs a modern videocard.

Download demo and sources here:

Very fast. Usually on my old computer that many objects would be in slow motion.

Very nice. The frame rate is very good and the simulation look precise.

Hey jimbo,

nice demo, but I have problems loading a b3d file for the ground. First I tested a 3ds file for the plain mesh, and everything works fine with 3ds but a b3d file causes a laggy 1 fps and also the cubes are not affected by the ground! Could you check this ?

Ok I found out that it also works with b3d but only to a specific amount of vertices. You can test my terrain b3d

and

With low.b3d it works but with high.b3d not!
