Simul CloudWright: a technology for creating stunningly realistic skies for games. Available as a stand-alone tool or as an SDK for inclusion in game projects, CloudWright uses the physics of light to create high-dynamic range, 360-degree panoramic skies.
I haven't had time to dig into this, but it looks like it may be useful within Irrlicht. It makes use of OGRE 3D and wxWidgets, though I don't know if that is in the standalone only, or if OGRE 3D and wxWidgets are used throughout the code.

CloudWright is in beta, and the current version is set to expire November 30th. A new version will be posted at their site if the testing gets extended.

Wow, that looks quite amazing

Looking forward to its implementation for real-time-cloud rendering... :D

Hope that it's possible and not for rendering skies only..;)
