Welcome to the forums :). I'm quite sure there's plenty of teams looking for sound designers / composers right now, our's isn't any different I guess :P. So if you're somewhat into SciFi and willing to give us a hand ... or two, our team may have some work for you.

I think you penniliess hippies need to read "7. Understanding of Budgetary restrictions" a bit closer. :P

I'd need to see pictures of your Muse before sending any money you way. ;)

Man stop doing that rogerborg, I'm gonna break a rib.

On-topic.. How long would an average sized soundtrack take to make? Say containing 10 tracks, 5 of which are mostly looping ambience, and the other 5 variations on the same composition (ie title, end game, exciting, sad, scary). I mean like in man-days, so I know how much a good soundtrack is worth in contractor money.

I'm not actually looking for professional audio myself, just taking advantage of the fact that you're here and probably have the ability to answer this the kind of question.

apologies for the late response, i need to set the settings so that i receive notification on replies.

It really depends on the project and what else is going on with other projects, but 3 weeks would be a pretty good estimate for the soundtrack you described.

Hope this helps,

Feel free to ask any more questions :)

hey guys, recently updated the portfolio with a couple of new projects and added some new demo material to the reels. I also redesigned the website to hopefully allow for a quicker and more efficient way of getting to the music, hope you enjoy the changes and any questions can be emailed to levan at vel9studios.com,

Hey guys, I'm linking you to a vid that was played at the beginning of a small performance I had last week. The performance featured nine movements of a piano+accordion duet I completed in October. The piece in the video is a non-live version of the fourth movement called Little Meeloo's Hope.

(watch in high quality)
Youtube Video Link

Meeloo is the character that served as the work's common thread. He's a short, cartoony personality on a long journey. He's always lost in thought as he runs his small fingers through his red scarf. Hope you enjoy the music and video!

Also, updated the site and reels with new material, shoot me an email if you've got any questions,
