New Social Networking Site!

I have created a group for the Irrlicht Community on my new social networking site. The site is a Family friendly website geared for the whole family. Hey, that reminds me; how are your projects going? Have you settled on one yet? I recall something about a flightsim-space-MMO-but-not-Eve-cum-city-builder-but-not-SimCity-cum-life sim-but-not-The-Sims project...

they are coming along just fine! I haven't worked on them at all this week because my friend is in the Hospital but oh well!

Any social networking site that is registered with a free domain name is MOST likely gonna fail and to me, i couldnt be bothered

ANOTHER "social network"?? someone shoot me. can u imagine, i think we are up to 8 "well known" ones. TRy setting your details on each one similar but not the same. on one, u can be 12, on another 14!!! how cool. i bet nobody would even notice, or care lol...

Ranting is fun, but social networking is not :F

Those social networking sites really annoy me. I have to have a facebook so I get invited to parties by people who I haven't seen in years, but the bastards who run them are collecting data on me and selling to the highest bidder.
The future of the internet in anonymity, everyone will have a different persona for every website they visit and only trusted people will know who is who across sites. Anyone who doesn't follow this will be tracked, monitored and spied upon by unscrupulous companies who deal in information.

I totally agree with you.. hell, in my school the "cool" guys only date girls with myspace/facebook else they aren't worth it... It sucks...
...to think that some years ago computers were for nerds only, now everyone uses msn and they talk about it like it's normal, if I did that when I started using msn (I was 12, 6 years ago) I would've been labelled as the nerd anti-social kid.
Nowadays if you don't have msn or a computer you can't socialize.. how sad.

My site is not one of those that collect data to sell to others! The only way we get money is through ads and in cases where people want to help support us. Your privacy is important to us. The only data we collect is the data you supply on your profile and the information that is tracked by normal stat programs however that information WILL NOT be sold to any one!
