The best way to make your first game is to edit someone elses until you understand what is happening

If it's your first time programing in C#(I'd hate to say it) but you might find it easier to use XNA. Your games will be Microsoft's bitch for the rest of their lives but you'd actually get the finished

If you want to learn programming, start with BASIC or ActionScript then migrate to C++. You might get a career out of it
