Irrlicht Developer Conference?

Just curious, as I think it would be cool, but has there ever been an Irrlicht Developer Conference? Or even the thought of one?

And maybe not in person, but on the internet or something?

An online conference would require a very strong server == $$$ but that would be a good idea indeed.

Conference goal: start the conference on IRC, end it in a Second-Life style environment. ;)

Not sure, I've never come across a discussion like that.

Maybe this thread can set one up.

I'm from Beaverton Oregon, by the way. Long ways to get to anywhere.

Though a meetup prior to a conference is a good idea as well.

Haha. I would be fine with a conference on IRC. But I think it would just be cool if a bunch of people from the community made some small "classes" or something to help out the community, and things like that. I know it's far-fetched, but it would be cool to me.

I can cough up some server space for something temporary like this...

What about the http://sauerbraten.org/ engine for a realtime world editing thing? (Why would we want this?)

youre suggesting a graphics engine on a graphics engine forums? Not very smooth i must say, if we wanted a 3d world to chat in, there are 100's of people capable of making one in a very short time using irrlicht, but thanks for trying.

There's always GMod.

I think an IRC room in general would be pretty sweet. As long as people actually talked in it, I would enjoy the chat way more than the slow forums.

LOL, seeing as nobody else has stepped up, i will upload a full design for a small, small scale 3d conference room. should be fun to do as a team, which i/we can choose wen decided the design.

Of course, im stepping up. any1 can upload a design as well, and we can vote/agree on the most logical and cooler approach

Wow, that's pretty sweet. Where is your design document? I don't see a link? (That is meant to be sarcastic, as it may appear as if it is.)

I recommend we all use irrChat:
