[SOLVED] Problems with displaying the 3d model in irrEditor

Post by cyberion »

I have got a problem with irrEditor shown on this screen http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/2243/irreditin1.jpg The texture looks stretched and wrongly mapped, but it's mapped and modelled correctly in 3d Studio Max http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/9826/maxzr6.jpg and here is a screen http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/8100/inactionka3.jpg shot of it running on Irrlicht 1.4 and Visual Studio 2005 Professional. On graphic designer's irrEditor everything looks cool and ok. I don't know what is wrong ?

Which part do you mean? The tree or the texture of the path? The latter might ne fixed in latest SVN, IIRC I fixed some parts of the UV mapping for 3ds files. You might also try to export to other file formats.

Here http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/6434 ... in1ks9.jpg is the screen with stretched textures. In this project I used obj format and what is more interesting on the other computer it works fine. But my other project with more polygons over 200 000 looks ok. So I will have to try 3ds format.

In case you have some obj files which are supposed to work correctly you can send them to me for further testing. I've just fixed some problems with texture clamping etc for obj files, maybe I can also fix these problems.
