It would be VERY useful for everybody if someone (or everybody :p) could make a working texture splatting shader with and little example demonstrating how to use it (maybe with an Alphamap for each layer).
There's a lot of texture splatting topics on the board, but they are all unfinished or non-open source techniques.

I'm working on something, but I don't know when I'll have time to make it into a nice easy to use addon with documentation, currently its just hacked-together. Also it only works good on Arras's terrain scene node.
