Next release?

I want to start on a large project that uses Jirr, but sourceforge displays the main package as last updated July 22, 2007. Is there a new version of Jirr coming out for Irrlicht 1.4.x? Is there to be another release sometime in the near furture?
This is a fabulous project (cheers to the developers!)
I would love to make use of it.. but I would hesitate to do so if it is dead.
