Tool to construct buildings and levels.

Post by Mel »

This tool is not bad, i've used it, and gives good results. Also, it can export LWO models, which are compatible with 1.5 beta. So, if you feel creative, and want to build your own levels, give it a shot.

Word of advice though, it doesn't save smoothing groups! your levels will look flat shaded, but it works well. i'd specially recomend it for physical simulations, as it tell you when the mesh you're working with is convex or not.

ITs also completely free. Being a big fan of garage games products (flame away, i dont care) this tool is quite rad. Some of their titles use this to build levels, including the physics based games so dont be missing things. Its free, worth checking out.

Updates for constructor are available at the TDN (Torque Developer Network) but you must log in to access the info and I'm not sure if this is only available to licensed developers or being it a free tool you just create an account and logon. Info is here:

Latest patch is 1.0.51, here's the link:

You'll also find great tutorials for constructor on pdf, video and html format there.
