Hello. I was wondering... since I'm only 14, I really don't feel like going into offices and getting real technical with trademarking a company name and simulator series to release my flight simulator (Fighters Tactical Warfare) and future versions under copyright.
However, I do want them copyrighted, and I would like a company name to release them under, that is trademarked. I do want my programs protected.
Is there a way to do this for free or pay online without having to go and do all the technical things? Like, a real way to get good copyright and trademarking protection that one of you guys have used. This is very important to me right now.
I've searched around, but I'm not really sure if I should trust the sources, so I wondered if any of you have an idea.

Anyway..impressive work for a 14 year old.
In my opinion there is an implicit copyright on everything you made.
There is no need for you to create a company name, unless you want to sell the application, in which case you'll need to pay taxes blabla..yada.
If i can't change your mind you can probably setup a Delaware LLC, though i'm sorry to say your probably not old enough.
I would suggest using this project (and others to follow) to getting a good job at a gamedesign studio or the military.

according to US law, you are granted copyright at the moment you create the work. you own this copyright until 70 years after you die (kinda crazy owning something when you're dead...)
You can have a more 'official' form of copyright by registering with the library of congress.
Tradmarks must be registered, but i couldn't tell you how to do it. trademark is simply meant to protect the consumer from being confused between something akin to 'bob's cola' and 'coca cola'
if you want all of this to be official, you'll need to research it. after your research, you may actually see why plenty of us programmers don't like some of the powers granted by copyright

Well, alright then. Maybe if I do go ahead with the commercial version of FightersTW in future years, I could do that. For now I'll just continue with what you said.
I would like to join the US Air Force someday.. or even if I go to Israel, join the Chel Ha Avir because I have a passion for Israel so much.
But I'll probably continue programming for my career anyway.
One more thing: I would like to compile an addon creation package for FightersTW, and I was planning on selling it if they wanted to use the resources and tools. However, would I still need to pay taxes etc. to do this, since it's not the actual simulator?
Maybe better to go as shareware for that, and receive donations from the simulator? (I would like to receive some income from this project since I'm doing a lot of work to it... some people don't understand and think it's a waste of time, and I'd love to prove them wrong)
