Anyone have a good, up to date, website or article that describes a game engine in detail? Before I start messing with this I want to understand a game engine and whats inside of it well.
Thanks!

I want to know what a game engine contains? what it does? I don't know, lol. Does it contain the libraries that have pre defined functios and classes so you don't have to write your own physics calculations and all the other stuff?
Man I feel like the biggest n00b, lol.

Well it depends on you . You can use already made physics and rendering engines or write them on your own
