Hmmm, that dual paraboloid approach for reflections is interesting...

My two cents for this month :)

^^

Just do a Guitar Heroes that works on low-end computer and then I will stop mine. Or simply give me a job after my studies :P

I did this for that reason (Frets on Fire is very heavy too) and to improve my c++ skills ;)

Aye I was mostly joking, you're probably alright to do it as a means of education and so long as you're not profiting from it, though of course Activision may think otherwise! But then I guess they've not slapped down frets on fire yet... presumably.

Pingy and Pudgy's Adventure.

Post by 3DModelerMan »

Here's another Pingy screenshot.
The font that I used in the temporary score box is from the irrlicht font tool,
I opened it in photoshop and applied layer styles.
The lighting on the terrain is a simple per-pixel lighting shader, but I made it so I could paint shadows on with blender vertex paint. There will be more shaders soon, maybe next months contest I'll post a screenshot with them.
Image

Pingy can now run, jump, butt slam, and he has limited attacking capabilities.
Here's a video too, sorry low quality is all my processor can handle.

That would be illogical captain...

nice work 3DModelerMan but i think the attack action should be made faster otherwise it looks like "touching" the enemy instead of slashing lol.
