Why I am the way I am...

well some people begin to hate me for my lack of social skills...

unfortunately if I had them I would be out side and not in front of my computer 24/7... living a normal live of a person my age. so I'm afraid I will get banned eventually or you will learn to treat me like a person with partial social contact disability. I must say i dont know which one i would prefer.

I want to apologize most of you, but some others I truly hate. I have written and asked often in a way that must have felt and read like I expect everyone on this forum to be my personal support line... I have not intended so, but even for things I did not intend to, I need to apologize. (I hope I got my punctuation right... i.e. as wildcv or someone said

However I cannot function without asking... so I will still ask questions about my problems... and I want to assure all of you that told me to go read, google and so on, that i have done it at least 5 hours prior to asking (unless on irc, but I have done so but a bit shorter).

But on the other hand... I have been ill treated ever since I opened the project announcement thread Project Ninja Star. I seemed to get an idea that everyone was laughing at me for the first month or so. Just read the first 4 pages.

Ofcourse my wrongs outweight yours (I am refferring to particular people... so dont take that "yours" as directed towards yourself if you havent done anything). And also I am one person, and people that were unfriendly to me were many, so both ways I am the guilty one.

Now, you have noticed some of your misled actions? By reading the previous post you are saying that you understand that there are certain conventions as to how it works in a normal community. Having said that, you are the one who decides how you behave... The responses are based on your actions (or the lack thereof).

I think you are smart enough to read your own post a couple of times and learn from your mistakes, and im pretty sure everyone will treat the same as anyone else.

Some pointers,

Dont bump your own threads unnecessarily, no matter how frustrating it is.

Dont blatantly or indirectly call the people helping you morons. This gets you in a corner really fast.

Dont take everything as a personal attack, this is the internet after all.

P.S , you were not the first person with big ideas to get laughed at, and you wont be the last. welcome to the internet

I hope you read this as im intending it, and not incorrectly. I do hope you stick around and preserve, but most of all i hope that you understand where everyone else is coming from. Take a good handful of world traditions, cultures, understandings and backgrounds and throw them in one place... There will be waves, you just gotta learn to be amongst the crowd rather than knocking them down.

Life is hard and people on the net can be unfriendly. But I think we usually don't ban anyone unless they do true evil (tm) and I think so far that's defined as spam spam spam. So unless you start selling us viagra you're probably safe.

In all honesty though im proud of you for posting this. As the others said we truly have no hate for you its just sometimes you can be a bit off. but none the less good job.

P.s im probably not the one who told you about punctuation corrections..As you can tell in all my post..spelling and grammar are not my thing.

Anyway, now that I'm done taking taking credit and proving my juvenility, I must berate you for saying it is "unfortunate" that you are not "living a normal life of a person your age." Firstly, normality means conformity and that is a truly deadly sin. Take pride in what you do. Secondly, congratulations, you are ahead of the game in terms of getting a decently paying job in the real world.

Oh, and as for what you really posted about? Meh, controversy and minor flame wars add a special spice to internet socializing, making it unique and enjoyable. So keep it up what your doing, it makes things interesting.

You're blowing this out of proportion, it's just an internet forum where people get help on writing 3d applications. No one cares if you have bad social skills or no friends, hell most people like that are shy timid people. I think everyone just wants you to be less of an ***hole (Although you can still be somewhat of an ***hole, look at me ).

I didn't have much against you from the start devsh but seeing you post up a sob story to get everyones sympathy has slightly diminished my opinion of you.

Regardless I don't care because this is a place for discussing graphics techniques and shaders, etc and not a place to whinge when you have a personal problem or a grudge.

I'll keep offering you advice on the things that matter in this forum, graphics techniques, so please don't bring anything irrelevant into this.

devsh, this is a very serious matter and the way you are handling it can be descibed as "cowardice". You are already fulfulling several risk factors for some psychiatric disorders.

I reccomend you reduce your posts per day statistic, and find time for other activities, your project has no deadline.

Sorry about being offtopic, but the original post highlighted a problem rather than creating an explaintion.
