Screenshot of the Month October [Winner announced!]

Post by hybrid »

Wow, we already have a winner! Let's congratulate Firgof. The screenshot 'The Handoff' from the really amazingly looking space game Star Ruler. Good luck for this cool project.
And happy submitting for all of you for the November Screenshot of the Month.

Ok, due to my holidays this became a little later than expected. However, we still have enough days to have a result with the beginning of November. So here we go, please start voting for the next 10 days.

Yes, we do continue our pretty successful contest for a screenshot of the month, this time for October 2009. Please submit screenshots of renderings you made with Irrlicht. You can submit as one screenshot per project. Please add a meaningful title for clear references of the shot. Also give some information about the techniques used, the scene size (#polys etc), and other things people might be interested.
The winner will be announced on the known Irrlicht channels, and gets a prominent place in the gallery.
This submission phase will be open until October 15thhat this thread will become a voting thread. Thanks for participating.

A game im currently working on:
A lot of polys because of the terrain. nothing special yet
Image
My finished game, SpinShip:
really low number of polys, I used a second camera to with a render-to-texure technique for the floor. it was supposed to look like a cheap reflection, but it looks more like a colorful shadow :P

Title: Forgotten Village

But I don't see a chance if wing64 comes here again. :D
And yes, the corners of huts (or whatever you call it in English) are burned intentionally, I had hard time creating UV atlas. It's not a lighting bug (many people said that when played it). Just wanted to state that I'm 12 so I can't make anything with quality :(

I'll post new locations from this game each month, so stay tuned :) Maybe I create something worth a vote :D

You mean a rock wall or a hut wall? But there's ambient occlusion, maybe it's looks like a hole.

Nice maybe we should divide all polling results by the contestant's age. :D
