I have been trying to come up with a game concept for a while now. I have found it.
Many movies let you experience superhero's experience, many of them have game ripoffs where you follow the character through the storyline you've seen.
In this game you would play the superhero, discovering his skills as he gains more and more. Since learning is based off connections to other ideas, here's an example. In the show Heros one of the main characters is learning he has the ability to absorb other peoples powers. A man who can become invisible accidentally gives him the power to become invisible. (Still not understanding his powers) he begs the older grumpy man to teach him how to control his invisibility (which is currently changing at random times). The old man explains to him that everyone has secrets, and if you watch them long enough, you'll find there all evil/horrible. This kind of learning about your powers, who are you going to trust, what are you going to do when your powers manifest themselves, what are you going to do with them? (reveal them to the public?)
These superhero movies are the kind that people always say "If I were in that position" or think about if they were in that position. Would you let your girlfriend in on your secrets, will you ask her/expect her to help cover for you, how would you handle it? How would you make money? What would you use it for? An RPG with talk trees, or some kind of decision making to take it whatever way you want. I think it could be great.
(Many of these have a great romantic storyline, that would be kept most likely.)
I'm not sure I've hit on it exactly, but you know what I mean, your now a superhero, what are you going to do?
I'm getting a team together to produce it, if your interested, let me know.
