Are quakemaps static?

Are quakemaps static?

Just out of curiosity...

Are the quakemap-boxex/area's static in the 3D environment?

lets say you create a long corridor, like those you have on submarines... could you rotate this quakemap to other submarines(quakemap-boxes) as if they were moving about?

and is it possible to draw an 3Dobject(submarine) over the corridor, so that the outside appears to be a submarine?

Well, in 3D world everything is static and everything is dynamic :D Just go ahead.
