Order and Resistance - Multiplayer FPS

Hi all, im Borges and im here to announce the OR Project.
It is basically a open source multiplayer FPS.
My wishes are that everything in this project can be editated and used by anyone for free, including the textures and models.

The game is team-play style, with iron sights, lain, ragdolls, commands and blood.

Actually we have 2 modelers and 2 coders.
Dont really need anyone at this moment, small teams works better, in my opinion.

The game is in development and we hope to realease an alpha asap.

The Story:
Is goin on at Brazil, after a dictatorial goverment tryout. Ppl get angry and goes against the goverment. Order = soldiers (goverment) and Resistance (the people). You choose who you will defend. As i said is a team-play game. Be with your team and you will have more chances to survive.

Hey, nice one. I like the models. Looking forward for a demo!

I totally agree with you- currently my team is me , Burning Angel, shadowslair and myself (one person total)... :D

Thank you for the reply.
We had a lot of problems runing a big team. It was 11 ppl at the begining of the project, only 2 where really working, so I cut them off, lol.

When u start a cool project, everyone wants to help, but really... its all exciting and no wish to work. :x :!:

Official announce, we need coders now to put our 3d work at irrlicht and work with the graphics, our main coder is now very busy and the project stoped cos there is no coders.

Hello, after Order and Resistance has stopped due lack of coders, lol, I kept on going with the map creation. And then i have a map almost done, and it is now pretty much playable.
Its called sp123. Here is the demo of it:

It was made at gtkradiant and netradiant, compiled at q3map2. Im having a few problems with lightmaps, becouse the map is too big now. But as people asked a demo when Order and Resistance was still an active project i decided to put the demo on.
Also with this map i won the q2/2010 screenshot competition. http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/phpBB2/ ... highlight= (still the time where the map was little and have lightmaps :P)

Glad to see you`re still working on it.

Just one note- dunno whether you`re aware of this, but you don`t need to use this .pk3 loader- Irrlicht has a better, opensourced one in irrlicht\bin\Win32-VisualStudio\21.Quake3MapExplorer.exe . Works better, you can switch drivers, resolution, have collision, skybox, weapon etc. :wink:

no, something that makes maps extension. bsp,. pk3, etc. .. irredit seems very limited, I just want saver tool with which he created the map, and how!
