Hey there. New month, new contest. Our monthly contest celebrates it's first birthday. And I guess this was a huge success, right from the beginning. Many thanks for all your brilliant submissions. Irrlicht gained a lot from these images, I hope you all did as well. So just keep on with your impressive job
The rules are as always. Please submit one screenshot from your current project or stand-alone rendering made with Irrlicht. Please also give some details and a name for the image. Submissions are allowed until end of March.

Why don't you put a button dedicated to screen shots of the month into the Irrlicht main page menu instead of a really small link in the screen shots section?
As the last "they want ogre, I want irrlicht" thread showed it, people comming to see great screen shots from Irrlicht are missing it... and that's too bad

Due to the current static layout of the Irrlicht website, these changes are non-trivial. Moreover, there had been some efforts to revamp the website, which is why I didn't start to add all those minor things. Maybe if these efforts cannot be resurrected I could add a better visible link.

Basically what he was saying is that this is
screenshot of the month, not project of the month; implying that a development project that isn't graphically appealing isn't appropriate for this topic, and is in fact more appropriate for a thread such as
this.

Yeah, i think these are one of the reasons ppl judge irrlicht for being noob....
I wonder what happened to all that shader freak dudes....
PS: i wish i could also do something...sorry...

well the rules do say:
Please submit one screenshot from your current project
but I know what you mean. People think Irrlicht sucks cuz the programmers suck at art, and I don't think a lot of people here even know what shaders are

Desc: just a landscape I've put together to learn irrlicht.
kudos to elvman for his Realistic water scene node since the built-in water scene node is kinda crappy... I haven't gotten far enough to figure out shaders yet to create my own water... lol
