A few suggestions for further things to do...

- kerning pairs (from the original font, for plain usage)
- self-calculated kerning pairs, done after applying special fx, figured out from the alpha channel and with alpha<threshold pixels ignored so that some "alpha=0.01" pixels don't count towards glyph width
- distance-fields (better upscaling with a proper shader)

Nothing is drawn if any of the fill, or the outline 1 or the outline 2 options are checked. For plain fonts, it works all right!

Releasing it OpenSource would be great. I have additional ideas for your font tool.

Blending textures to characters. Add textures also to character shadows.. simple shaders for glow, make characters like soap bubbles and so on.

We could add this to irrExt project. You can even join that project as a developer and thereby continue the maintenance of the tool and maybe also add other tools and code snippets. Please send me either your SF login name (then you will get SVN access and can upload the font tool on your own) or send the sources to my SF account (which you can also find on the irrExt pages)

Thanks for this awesome thing!

Is it possible to create a monospace font? Somehow the font created using the DejaVu Sans Mono or Courier New font doesn't seem to be monospaced...

Thanks for any help,

user-r3

I'm having issues generating some fonts, such as http://www.dafont.com/n-o-movement.font

Do you know why it wouldn't generate a font at all? Thanks.

The link to the EXE only is broken, so I've reposted it here: http://www.files.com/shared/58a971b5e7230/FontTool.zip.
