The hello world is about as basic as it gets and does cover loading and texturing, and cameras.
Crud, how do I do this again?

i think your looking at irrlicht in the wrong way perhaps, it only displays things that have already been made ....
the face would have to be made in a seperate program, and then saved and displayed with irrlicht :-D

Not really, you can create your own scene node types, but thats probably more complex than you need

I could be in over my head

I think I'm in the same boat as the poster. Is there any software out there that enables you to create these 3D items? I know 3D Studio MAX is way out of my price range. Also, I'm an Oracle DBA with SQL and PL/SQL experience but I'm gonna need knowledge in another language aren't I? I have some projects at work that I know use .NET, so would it be the easiest way to go or what? Like I said, I'm probably in over my head but just wanted to mess around with this.
