its already supported, although only for OpenGL at the moment.

Can't compile the sample in VC..

I tried to compile the sample in VC but didn't success, seems some files are missed (e.g. os.h, CVideoOpenGL.h) ...

you need to have the irrlicht source and i guess recompile the engine.
