Bullet/Irrlicht tutorials?

Post by janw »

Hi,
Are there any bullet/irrlicht tutorials apart this one in wiki:
http://www.irrlicht3d.org/wiki/index.ph ... WithBullet?

Any suggestions for some1 (that's me:) who doesn't know any physic engine yet and really want to learn it?

I would like to know how to make the collision with the terrain node in irrlicht for start.

You should look into samples provided by bullet and implement what you need from there.

OR

Use a wrapper that's been already made.

OR

Look at the already made wrapper and make your own wrapper.

thanks serengeor, will do that. I simply thought that someone wrote like step by step tutorials how to use Bullet with Irrlicht. I will look into wrapper and will check how other people have done it. And maybe one day I will write some sort of tutorial;).

Although a tutorial would be useful for those interested in using the two of these together, I would suggest using a wrapper to save time; so you are not "reinventing the wheel"

Irrbullet is the wrapper that I use and it is rather easy to get running.

No matter which wrapper you end up choosing, I would suggest playing around with the example programs a lot so you can get ahold of what they're doing.
